Pisgah is...

The solo project of singer-songwriter Brittney Jenkins, a musician who grew up in the American South and has lived in Greater London since 2015. Her inspirations range widely, from the alt-country roots of Ryan Adams and Songs: Ohia, to the wistful alt-rock of Aimee Mann, and even the gothic edge of Emma Ruth Rundle and The Cure. Music has always been central to her life, but she didn’t start writing her own songs until 2015, after teaching herself guitar. Those early songs became the seeds for her debut album Call Louder for Me When You Call, released in 2022. Her songs are reflective and bittersweet, telling stories about natural disasters, family deaths, and personal tragedies over shimmering electric guitar and propulsive percussion. Her follow-up album, Faultlines, will be released independently on the 4th of December.
